"Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan" were founded 100 years ago and became known as "The World's Greatest Mariachi" during the 1950s

This year they are celebrating their 100th anniversary and 15 years of the Mariachi Festival in
Guadalajara, Jalisco. 

Author of "The Guitar in The Mariachi", Rafael Palomar also performed with many famous artists such as
Linda Rondstat (guitar and vocals) on "Mas Canciones" and guitar on "Canciones de Mi Padre"

Rafael Palomar currently lives and teaches mariachi in Albuquerque, New Mexico and performs worldwide.
